Maritime Replicas
While replicas are generally specific ships, many of the listings below represent specific hull types or classes of ships. These
can be made into various other “named” ships of the same specific hull arrangement with different superstructures and rigging
variations. This allows our staff to make the ships appear as they have changed over the their life span. Hull names and
numbers, typical ship markings, and paint schemes can be modified to reflect a ship replica over its life span.
Our replicas are made from cold cast polyurethane-resin in the scales of 1/800, 1/700, 1/600, 1/500, 1/450, 1/400, and 1/350th
scale. The superstructures are made of ABS plastic, etched and cast brass, etched stainless steel, cast pewter, and resin.
Our larger scale (1/192, 1/96, 1/72, 1/48, 1/32) replicas have molded fiberglass hulls or hand-crafted industrial foam hulls that
are skinned in sheet ABS plastic or fiberglass coat. The ship superstructures are constructed of ABS plastic, etched and cast
brass, etched stainless steel, cast pewter, or cast resin.
All of the maritime replicas can be built as a "waterline" diorama (showing operational status, positioned in a resin and polymer
sea surface) or standard full hull presentations mounted on supports. They are mounted to either oak or walnut wood display
bases with brass name/data placards and Plexiglas dust covers.
All of our maritime replicas are manufactured according to official shipyard plans and photos and are built to the highest
technical and historical accuracy.
